Telehandler Operator

Purpose of Job 

• To carry out all Telehandler Operator duties to assist the various trades on site as required 

Main duties 

• Site servicing of trades including all loading and unloading of relevant materials 
• Complete daily works checklist 
• Responsible for to: 
• Calling off mortar refills when required 
• Calling off skip changeovers when required. 
• Calling off fuel refills & deliveries 
• Completing weekly plant inspections on the telehandler including greasing & maintenance 
• Reporting any damage to plant or materials to the site Manager immediately  
• Assisting Labourer to manage stores & advising of general stocks. 
• Monitoring & reporting of all recognisable SHE non compliances 
• Monitoring & reporting the waste segregation of mini skips. 
• Check off all deliveries for offload reporting or marking up and shortages at time of delivery and inform site management. 
• Materials to be stored in an organise manner in the designated areas.  
• Contribute to improving the business, protecting and enhancing the reputation of the company, by putting forward new ideas and, when requested to do so, implementing change.  

Required Experience 

• 3-5 years Construction site experience 
• Good References available 
• Comfortable with using small tools & equipment 
• Ability to: 
• work effectively in a team 
• work effectively and safely under pressure 
• prioritise workload and use their own initiative 

Desired Qualifications 

• CPCS  Blue Card Competent Operator  
• CSCS card 
• SSSTS 
• First Aid 
• Banksman 
• Fire Warden
