Project Overview
This project involved the construction of 4 large scale, continuing care and bungalows within the Springburn area of Glasgow. The units were built to compliment the original ARBD (Alcohol Related Brain Disease) Unit which was also constructed by Cruden in 2010.
The bungalows are an intermediary for restoring patients' confidence thus allowing them to be discharged into mainstream accommodation. All units are fitted with individual kitchens and living rooms with communal lounges, communal dining and recreation areas, extensive landscaped gardens and feature internal courtyards.
The design also incorporated a communal heating system for each unit together with Warden call and CCTV systems.
