Project Overview
King’s View is an award winning, mixed-tenure development located in North Toryglen - one of
Glasgow’s eight Transformational Regeneration Areas identified for regeneration and
development. The TRA programme aims to provide new sustainable communities together with
the creation of jobs, homes and community facilities.
Glasgow Housing Association and Glasgow City Council collectively appointed Cruden to deliver
the regeneration of the site and their wider social aims through the dynamic development of
374 new homes. Phase 1 which was completed in January 2016 contains 100 social housing
units for the GHA and an 8 bed Children’s Home for GCC Social Work Department. Phase 2 was
constructed on behalf of our sister Company Cruden Homes West and contains 55 Low Cost
Home Ownership Units. This development which contains one, two and three bedroom
terraced/semi-detached homes and one/two bedroom apartments was completed in the
Summer of 2016. Phase 3, which is a further phase of 49 units for sale commenced in May of
2017.
All homes incorporate low energy design principles including high levels of insulation and
airtightness. The buildings are also orientated to take advantage of passive solar gain with good
quality natural daylight to all rooms.
