Small steps for sizeable savings
Just like any adventure, saving money can present you with setbacks. So, when it comes to budgeting, it's not so much about making more money at times, it’s about saving the money you already have. Although, sometimes the toughest part of trying to save some extra money can just be getting started. Making your money last until the end of the month whilst trying to save on the side is undeniably a tough test. However, it might be easier than you think.
Sainsbury’s Bank has set you a challenge to form new habits when it comes to saving a little extra money every week, designed to help make saving cash a habit rather than a chore.
Introducing the 52-week challenge. It’s simple, on week one you put away £1, followed by £2 in week two and so forth and without noticing you can put away over £1300 plus any interest. So, whether you’re just opening your first savings account or already accustomed to saving, putting money away is something everyone can get into the habit of doing.
