David Cooper moved into the spacious three bedroom Oak at Cruden Homes’ Baron’s Vale development in Glasgow’s east end in March 2018.
David Cooper (39) used to live just around the corner from his brand new Cruden house, in a two bedroom flat at a nearby development. After previously living in the south-side, west end and in the centre of Glasgow, he found that for him, the east-end of the city was most definitely best, thanks to the resurgence of this up-and-coming area, easy transport links with both the M8 and M74 motorway networks and Glasgow’s Mechant City being in such close proximity.
David was planning to move out of his flat into a bigger house and had already reserved a new property at another development in the east end when he visited his friend’s house who had bought a new home at Baron’s Vale. David couldn’t believe how spacious his home was, nor could he believe the host of added extras available at no extra cost, including a fully turfed front and back garden and 6 foot high garden fence, Porcelanosa tiles, towel warmers, soft closing doors and waterfall taps.
David cancelled his reservation and immediately made an off-plan reservation for the award winning Oak house type at Baron’s Vale - a stunning three bedroom, end-terrace home. David and his beloved cocker spaniel, Baxter have now moved in and love their open and airy home which has an extremely spacious lounge area. It’s easy to see why the Oak has won so many awards as it boasts generous room sizes, great storage space, a high quality and well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms, and built in wardrobes.
“I always thought I had a big flat until I moved here. My master bedroom is the size of my previous flat’s master bedroom and spare room combined! I love cooking and entertaining so the flowing, open-plan design is perfect” said David. “The windows are really big and let the light flood in. They are also low so perfect for Baxter to watch the world go by while I’m at work!”
David added, “As well as the quality of my home, I love having some superb amenities right on my doorstep. I go to the gym at the nearby Emirates Arena and Baxter loves walking along the riverside to the Cunningar Loop woodland park and to Tollcross Park, which are both just five minutes away.
“Cruden made the whole sales process very easy for me” said David. “I reserved my home off- plan which gave me time to sell my flat and it was great getting an email update every week and literally seeing my home come out of the ground. When it came to moving in, the sales team were exceptional – my home was snag-free and they gave me a really thorough handover with a full walk-through and DVD so that I knew exactly how everything worked. They also introduced me to my neighbours and it immediately felt like home.”
“For me, my new home at Baron’s Vale is everything I could ask for. It’s minutes to the M74 for me to get to work and just 3 miles from the city centre to take advantage of all the benefits that city living has to offer. Equally Baron’s Vale is a great neighbourhood with a real sense of community and lots of outdoor activities nearby. It’s the perfect place for me and Baxter and offers the very best of both worlds!”
Homes at Phase 3 of Cruden’s Baron’s Vale development are now available to reserve.
